Software Automation Test Developer (Python)
Procom is seeking a Software Automation Test Developer to join a team focused on developing automated testing solutions for advanced software platforms. This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys building automation frameworks, creating test tools, and collaborating closely with development and QA teams in an Agile environment.
This is a fully onsite position located in Ottawa, Ontario.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with development and testing teams to understand automation requirements and implement test solutions
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and test frameworks
- Build and maintain test libraries that interface with systems under test
- Develop software tools and features that improve automated testing capabilities
- Integrate test automation solutions with test management and defect tracking platforms
- Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint deliverables
-Troubleshoot issues and develop creative, effective software solutions
Required Skills & Experience -3+ years of Python development experience
- Experience working with automated testing environments and frameworks
- Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
-Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile environment
Preferred Skills -Experience with REST APIs
- Experience with SQL databases
- Familiarity with Jira or similar defect tracking tools
- Experience with test case management platforms
- Knowledge of .NET Framework
-Experience developing test automation tools and frameworks
Education -Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
