The Lethbridge Soccer Association (LSA) is looking for a creative, organized and outgoing Marketing & Sponsorship Coordinator to join our team full-time.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves creating great content, building relationships, developing new ideas and bringing campaigns to life. You’ll help tell the story of soccer in our community while growing LSA’s sponsorships, fundraising initiatives, programs, events and overall brand.
If you’re equally comfortable creating a social media reel, updating a website, putting together a sponsorship proposal and sitting down with a local business to pitch a partnership, we want to hear from you.
The Role
Reporting to LSA leadership, the Marketing & Sponsorship Coordinator will lead the Association’s marketing, communications, sponsorship and fundraising efforts. This position will work across LSA programs, leagues, tournaments, events and facility operations to increase awareness, participation, engagement and revenue.
Marketing & Content Creation
- Develop and execute LSA’s overall marketing and communications strategy.
- Create engaging content for social media, website, email, print and digital advertising.
- Produce graphics, photography, short-form video, reels and other creative content.
- Develop promotional campaigns for registration, tournaments, programs, camps, events and other LSA initiatives.
- Maintain consistent LSA branding, messaging and tone across all communication channels.
- Develop marketing materials including posters, brochures, advertisements, signage and digital graphics.
- Identify new and creative ways to promote soccer and connect LSA with the community.
Social Media Management
- Manage LSA’s social media accounts and content calendar.
- Create, schedule and publish engaging content.
- Cover games, tournaments, events, programs and Association activities through photos, videos and real-time social content.
- Monitor comments, messages and community engagement.
- Track social media performance, reach, impressions, engagement and audience growth.
- Stay current with social media trends and identify opportunities to increase LSA’s online presence.
Website & Digital Communications
- Manage and regularly update the Lethbridge Soccer Association website.
- Ensure registration information, schedules, programs, events, news and other important information remain current and easy to find.
- Create website content, news stories and promotional pages.
- Assist with email marketing and member communications.
- Monitor website traffic and use analytics to help improve digital communications.
Sponsorship Development & Sales
A major component of this position will be developing and growing LSA's sponsorship program.
The successful candidate will:
- Identify and pursue new sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
- Build relationships with local and regional businesses and community organizations.
- Create professional and customized sponsorship proposals and presentations.
- Develop creative sponsorship assets and activation opportunities across LSA programs, events, facilities and digital platforms.
- Meet with prospective sponsors and confidently present partnership opportunities.
- Negotiate sponsorship agreements in collaboration with LSA leadership.
- Manage existing sponsor relationships, renewals and ongoing communication.
- Ensure sponsorship commitments, benefits and activations are delivered.
- Develop sponsorship reports demonstrating exposure, engagement and partnership value.
- Maintain a sponsorship database and track prospects, agreements, renewals and deliverables.
Fundraising & Campaign Development
- Develop creative fundraising campaigns that support LSA programs and initiatives.
- Plan, promote and execute fundraising activities and events.
- Identify new fundraising opportunities and potential community partnerships.
- Create promotional materials and communications for fundraising initiatives.
- Work with staff, volunteers, sponsors and community partners to maximize campaign participation.
- Track campaign performance and provide post-campaign reporting.
Communications & Public Relations
- Develop and oversee LSA’s communications strategy.
- Create member emails, newsletters, announcements, media releases and public communications.
- Help ensure players, parents, coaches, referees, sponsors and community partners receive clear and timely information.
- Assist with media relations and community outreach.
- Support communications during major events, tournaments and organizational announcements.
- Help tell the stories of LSA's players, coaches, volunteers, programs and community impact.

- Familiar with website content management systems.
- Comfortable working with email marketing and digital communication platforms.
- Able to analyze basic marketing metrics and prepare reports.
- Willing to occasionally work evenings and weekends to support games, tournaments, events and other LSA activities.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education or experience in marketing, communications, public relations, business, sales, sponsorship, digital media or a related field is considered an asset.
Previous experience in marketing, sponsorship sales, fundraising, social media management or communications is preferred.
Experience working in sports, recreation, events or a non-profit/community organization would be an asset but is not required.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is creative, motivated and excited about helping grow soccer in our community.
Pay: $43,500.00-$60,000.00 per year
