WELDER / FABRICATOR
Landmark Solutions Ltd. (Landmark) is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our growing team. This role offers opportunities for development across our Construction division and other areas of the business. Based in Salmon Arm, BC, Landmark operates a fabrication and welding facility in the Salmon Arm Industrial Park, supporting bridge and water-related infrastructure projects throughout British Columbia and Alberta.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Welder/Fabricator is an integral part of the team, contributing to both shop-based and field operations while supporting strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This is a full-time, permanent B-level welder position offering competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package. The role is primarily based in our CWB-certified fabrication shop, with occasional fieldwork supporting the Construction Group. Landmark maintains strong Health & Safety and Environmental management programs and holds Certificate of Recognition with Worksafe BC and WCB Alberta.
Duties and skills include, but are not limited to:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proven focus on safety, adhering to safety and environmental rules and procedures.
- Must be able to understand engineered drawings and specifications as well as be able to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations with limited supervision.
- Must have a strong knowledge of reading drawings and blueprints and understand welding symbols in the fabrication process.
- Plan layout, fit-up, welding, and assembly with minimal supervision.
- Cutting and gouging.
- Operate welding equipment hoisting and lifting equipment.
- Meet expected efficiencies while maintaining high quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Work independently and positively as part of a team in shop and field environments.
- Comply with all Landmark Policy, Procedures, and Practices.
- Ability to work in industrial environments and meet site safety requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum three (3) years of welding and fabricating experience.
- Journeyman/B Level Welder – GMAW, SMAW, FCAW.
- CWB certification preferred (Ability to become ticketed is required).
- Red Seal an asset
- Forklift Lift Ticket an asset.
- Physically fit and agile, capable of standing for long periods, stoop, kneel, and crouch at times to perform assigned tasks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision and participate in the work of other people within shop and field environments.
- Maintain consistent and high-quality standards
- Must be flexible and be able to work all shifts and overtime when required.
- Able to safely perform the physical demands of steel fabrication, including working at heights, physical labour, and various weather conditions.
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License with clean driving record; driver's abstract required upon hire.
