Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented part time Resort Cleaner/Store Clerk to join our team. This is a seasonal position. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store, cottage cleaning and assisting with various resort tasks. The ideal candidate is proactive, has strong communication skills, and is capable of handling physical tasks such as heavy lifting.
Responsibilities
- Greet campers & guests warmly and assist them with resort inquiries, check in, rentals and directions
- Answer phone calls, collect reservation information
- Perform custodial duties including cleaning, sweeping, mopping and laundry of cottages, resort bathrooms and other facilities
- Conduct pool maintenance and testing to ensure the environment is safe and welcoming
- Manage inventory levels and restock shelves as needed
- Serve ice cream, process store sales
- Handle cash, give correct change and cash balancing
- Handle heavy lifting of merchandise, supplies and furniture safely and efficiently
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate daily tasks and ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience with rental home/cottage cleaning is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently throughout shifts
- Good physical stamina and attention to detail in cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Reliable work ethic with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Willingness to learn new things, work outside in all weather and help where needed
- Must be available evenings and weekends
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $17.60 per hour
