Job Summary
We are seeking a Clinical Nurse to work alongside our Lead Nurse Practitioner. The ideal candidate will possess strong nursing skills and a comprehensive understanding of clinical needs, including patient/client care processes. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure high-quality patient/client care.
Duties:
Assist the lead Nurse Practitioner
- Clinical Assessments & Data Collection:
- Conducting initial patient assessments and gathering medical history before the NP evaluation.
- Measuring and recording vital signs.
- Collecting samples (blood, urine, swab) for lab work.
- Procedure Support & Treatment:
- Assisting the NP with minor procedures, such as wound care, biopsies, or exams.
- Administering medications or vaccinations prescribed by the NP.
- Operating and monitoring medical equipment.
- Patient Education & Navigation:
- Teaching patients how to manage chronic illnesses, including using, administering, or storing medication.
- Providing health education and counseling to patients and families.
- Helping patients navigate the healthcare system (e.g., coordinating referrals).
- Documentation & Coordination:
- Updating patient records and documenting symptoms in the electronic health record.
- Communicating patient progress to the NP, especially unexpected or urgent changes.
- Ensuring follow-up on test results ordered by the NP
Fotona Dynamis Operator:
- Become trained and certified to operate the Fotona SP Dynamis laser system for various aesthetic and medical treatments.
- Perform procedures including sleep apnea/snoring treatments, skin tightening, hair removal, and skin resurfacing using the system's dual-wavelength laser technology.
Requirements
- Proven experience in the healthcare industry, particularly with nursing skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Background in nursing is mandatory, with a RN or RPN designation.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
