Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable and motivated Field IT Technician to join our expanding team. In this role, you will provide on-site technical support, diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, install and maintain IT equipment, and perform repairs and component replacements on a variety of electronic devices, including Samsung equipment.
The ideal candidate is technically proficient, customer-focused, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced field environment. Strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills, and the flexibility to accommodate occasional after-hours and emergency service calls are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, operating systems, networks, printers, scanners, and related peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues involving desktops, laptops, mobile devices, network equipment, retail/ commercial screens and more.
- Provide on-site technical support and assistance to clients in a professional and timely manner.
- Perform hardware repairs and component replacements, including Samsung electronic equipment and related devices.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and network performance.
- Respond to service requests, troubleshoot issues, and document work performed through the company's ticketing system.
- Conduct system upgrades, software installations, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
- Configure and support LAN/WAN networks, VPN connections, and wireless networking solutions.
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to urgent service requests when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience supporting Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with LAN/WAN networking, VPN technologies, and general network infrastructure.
- Experience with help desk, desktop support, and field service environments.
- Knowledge of ticketing and issue-tracking systems.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues independently.
- Experience performing electronic component replacements and hardware repairs is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment weighing up to 80 lbs (36 kg).
- Comfortable working in various onsite environments, including offices, warehouses, retail locations, and construction sites when required.
- Ability to load, unload, transport, and install IT and electronic equipment.
Work Schedule
- Standard on-call hours are typically 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM, though schedules may vary based on operational requirements and workload.
- Occasional evening, weekend, and after-hours work may be required to accommodate client needs, emergency service calls, or project deployments.
Compensation
- $22.00 per hour
- Mileage reimbursement provided in accordance with CJ Corp policies and the current CRA mileage rate ($0.70 per kilometre).
