Overview
We are seeking dedicated Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance Labourers to join our team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces through various landscaping tasks, ensuring the aesthetic appeal and health of lawns, gardens, and other landscaped areas. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, possess mechanical knowledge, and be comfortable operating a variety of tools and equipment. Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting
- Operate equipment such as excavators, power tools, and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas
- Assist with gardening tasks, including soil preparation, planting, and fertilizing
- Conduct routine maintenance on landscaping equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Support construction-related activities such as site preparation and minor structural work
- Maintain cleanliness of work sites and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
- Assist in the installation of new landscape features or renovations as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining landscaping equipment
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction practices is advantageous
- Experience with irrigation systems installation or repair is a plus
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy loads and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Construction experience or related background is beneficial but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role
Pay: $16.95-$20.00 per hour
