Carter GM Burnaby is seeking a motivated, results-driven Temporary Automotive Sales Manager to join our high-performing team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead an established sales department, drive business growth, and play an integral role in the continued success of one of the region's leading General Motors dealerships.
As our Sales Manager, you will inspire and develop a team of sales professionals, oversee daily dealership sales operations, and help create an outstanding purchasing experience for every customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, motivate, and develop the sales team to consistently achieve and exceed sales objectives.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase dealership profitability and market share.
- Monitor individual and team performance, providing regular coaching, performance feedback, and accountability.
- Oversee daily sales operations to ensure efficient processes and an exceptional customer experience.
- Assist with customer inquiries and resolve escalated concerns professionally and promptly.
- Stay current with GM products, industry trends, competitor offerings, and automotive technologies.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer standards, and applicable regulations.
- Foster long-term customer relationships that generate repeat business, referrals, and positive reviews.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of automotive sales management experience with a proven record of success.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
- Solid understanding of automotive retail operations, vehicle financing, and customer relationship management.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's Licence.
- PBS/Easy Deal knowledge would be a strong plus
