Job Overview
Centre for Arts and Technology is looking for a part-time instructor to teach our three-level courses on Designing User Experience, in the Graphic and Web Design Program. The successful candidate will provide education through learner-centered instruction that will enable graduates to fulfill the ever-changing requirements in the marketplace.
Course instruction is three (3) hours per week for an eleven (11) week term. Course schedules are flexible and may be delivered in the evenings. With options for on-campus instruction in Kelowna or remote teaching for qualified candidates located elsewhere in Canada.
Instructional Areas Include:
- User Experience design principles.
- User research and testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in Figma for designing, prototyping and collaborating on user interfaces.
Education & Experience:
- Degree or diploma in UX Design, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years of relevant industry experience required.
- Experience instructing working professionals or at a post-secondary or college institution is an asset.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships with students.
- Outstanding conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
