QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Certificate of Competence in the Province of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse is required
- Current certificate, skill and knowledge of I.V. Therapy and venipuncture is required
- Demonstrated clinical assessment and effective health history documentation
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
- Experience in Acute Medicine and/or ED an asset
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Demonstrated critical- thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality, availability and performance required
