QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Current Certificate of Competence in the Province of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse is required
  • Current certificate, skill and knowledge of I.V. Therapy and venipuncture is required
  • Demonstrated clinical assessment and effective health history documentation
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
  • Experience in Acute Medicine and/or ED an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Demonstrated critical- thinking and decision-making skills
  • Strong organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality, availability and performance required
