Job Overview
We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, support financial reporting, and supervise junior accounting staff.
This position will report directly to the Director of Accounting Services and will work closely with senior leadership to support financial operations, reporting accuracy, and organizational performance.
The Accounting Manager will spend approximately 70% of their time on hands-on accounting responsibilities and 30% on team supervision, coaching, and process oversight. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting operational efficiency, and contributing to the company’s financial performance goals
Key Responsibilities – Accounting & Financial Operations (70%)
· Perform and oversee full-cycle accounting functions including AR, AP, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close
· Lead month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
· Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
· Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
· Process and oversee monthly MOH billing submissions, ensuring completeness and accuracy
· Perform financial and variance analysis to identify trends and support business decisions
· Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, procedures, and financial controls
· Support internal and external audit requests and documentation requirements
· Support achievement of departmental performance targets and reporting deadlines
Key Responsibilities – Team Leadership & Supervision (30%)
· Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance, and review support to accounting staff
· Review team members’ work to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company accounting policies and procedures
· Review and monitor monthly closing checklists to ensure all deliverables are completed accurately and on time
· Support the accounting team in meeting reporting deadlines and operational targets
· Escalate significant issues, recurring errors, or operational gaps to Director of Accounting Servies
· Assist in prioritizing workload and reallocating tasks when necessary to ensure deadlines are achieved
Qualifications & Requirements
· 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience with strong hands-on full-cycle accounting knowledge
· Previous experience in a senior accountant or accounting manager role preferred
· Strong finance and accounting background with experience supporting financial reporting and analyse
· CPA designation and/or AICPA certification preferred
· Proficiency with Sage 50
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
· Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff is an asset
· Healthcare or MOH billing experience is considered an asset

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
