Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items, assisting in meal preparation, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in the assembly of menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Cook and plate dishes efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure hygiene and sanitation
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment throughout shifts
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Adhere to all restaurant policies regarding food handling, storage, and safety protocols
Skills
- Proven experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent skills in food industry practices including kitchen organization and cleanliness
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Knowledge of restaurant experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work efficiently under pressure
