Job Overview
Sons of Concrete is looking for a reliable, motivated Concrete Pump Operator to join our growing team. This position involves operating and maintaining a concrete pump truck while working closely with crews on residential and commercial projects throughout Bruce County and the surrounding area.
Shop location: Walkerton, ON
Responsibilities
- Safely operate and transport a concrete pump truck to and from job sites.
- Set up, operate, and dismantle the concrete pump
- Coordinate with concrete truck drivers and placing crews to ensure efficient pours.
- Monitor concrete flow and adjust pump pressure as required.
- Complete daily equipment inspections and perform routine cleaning and maintenance.
- Identify and report mechanical issues.
- Complete required inspection reports and logbooks.
- Follow all company safety policies and manufacturer operating procedures.
- Assist with general labour related to pumping operations as needed.
- Represent Sons of Concrete Inc. professionally on every job site.
Qualifications
- Valid AZ or DZ driver's licence (required).
- Clean driver's abstract.
- Concrete pumping or concrete construction experience is an asset.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Aerial boom experience is an asset.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently.
- Strong work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Willing to work in a fast-paced environment, including early mornings, extended hours, and occasional weekends during the busy season.
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and handle heavy hoses and equipment.
