Position Overview

In this position, the candidate will use cloud accounting technology to provide real-time bookkeeping. You will use your knowledge and experience to deliver value-added services that ensure your clients can meet challenges and take advantage of opportunities.

Bookkeeper Duties and Responsibilities

Perform bookkeeping duties, including bank and credit card reconciliations, payroll, amortization schedules and Year-End adjustments.
Data entry of supplier invoices, sales invoices and customer payments using Accounting software
Preparation and filing of GST/HST returns
Preparation of Interim Financial statements and Aging summaries reports
Assist Senior Bookkeeper
Post journal entries
work with cloud accounting software
Communicate with clients in a timely manner
Complete other admin related duties, as required
Protect at all times the confidentiality of information
Manage documentation of clients
Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum one-year of bookkeeping experience
Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles
Experience with cloud accounting software, such as QuickBooks Online and/or Xero, and Excel, as well as an interest in technology and innovation
Quick learning capacity
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
Strong organizational and planning skills
Strong interpersonal skills, professional manner and ability to work independently
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
Exceptional client service
Flexible and reliable with a strong work ethic
