Job Overview:
The Cleaner / Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members within a high-traffic entertainment attraction.
This role supports daily operations by ensuring all guest-facing areas, exhibit spaces, back-office locations and washroom areas meet high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
The position plays an important role in delivering a positive guest experience by upholding hygiene, safety, and operational standards across the attraction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of all guest-facing areas, including exhibit spaces, walkways, seating areas, and common areas
- Clean, sanitize, and restock washrooms regularly throughout the day, completing cleaning checklists or logs as required to support operational, health and safety, and sanitation standards.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and waste removal
- Monitor cleanliness during operating hours and respond promptly to spills, hazards, or urgent cleaning needs
- Support opening and closing cleaning procedures to ensure the attraction is guest-ready at all times
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards, including proper use of cleaning products and equipment
- Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or damages to the appropriate team
- Work collaboratively with Guest Experience and Operations teams to support daily activities and high-traffic periods
- Maintain a friendly and professional presence when interacting with guests and contribute to a welcoming environment
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial experience preferred (hospitality, retail, or attraction environment is an asset)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Comfortable working in a high-traffic, guest-facing environment
- Ability to perform physical duties, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and handling cleaning equipment throughout the shift
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices (WHMIS knowledge or willingness to learn is an asset)
- Positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and ability to contribute to a welcoming guest environment
Working Conditions:
- Flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Work performed in a fast-paced, high-traffic, guest-facing environment
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly rate: $18.50 – $23.00 per hour, based on experience
