An integral member of Operating Room, the Clerical Assistant IV exercises judgement, confidentiality, and independence to provide payroll, financial, administrative, and scheduling support services. The principal responsibilities include: administration of payroll processing for the department; coordinating employee schedules with supervisors; maintaining electronic and paper information filing/retrieval methods, systems and/or formats; performing reception activities; preparation and processing of all employee documentation for hiring, transfer, termination, WSIB incident reporting; and administering vacation/stat/banked time balances for department of 200+; generating and disseminating statistical data utilizing spreadsheets in support of department performance indicators; creating and maintaining databases/spreadsheets to support TG/PM OR’s functional centers; billing and receivable activities, implementing Quality Initiatives; management and disposal of all personnel records; supporting scheduling of departmental orientation program; performing cross-functional duties, as assigned and/or requested. Performs other duties consistent with the job classification as required.
Qualifications:
Three (3) years related office and finance administration support/payroll administration experience required.
Previous on-the-job computer/word-processing, database, spreadsheet and presentation software experience required.
Advanced skills in MS Office environment required.
Experience working in an electronic/computerized payroll administration environment required.
Experience in preparation of statistical reports preferred.
