Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Mechanic to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the mechanics field. As an Apprentice Mechanic, you will work under the guidance of experienced mechanics to learn the skills necessary for maintaining and repairing various types of machinery and equipment. Your role will involve working with hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment while ensuring high standards of safety and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of heavy trucks and trailers and other industrial equipment.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Perform CVIP
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Support senior mechanics in diagnosing problems and implementing solutions.
- Perform heavy lifting as required during repair and maintenance activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass pre-employment, random, and post incident drug and alcohol testing
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy trucks and trailers
- Ability to read schematics and technical documents.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop mechanical skills.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills for effective customer service interactions.
