Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced DZ Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials efficiently. This role requires a strong focus on safety, timely deliveries, and excellent driving skills. The DZ Driver will play a vital part in maintaining smooth logistics operations and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Safely operate DZ licensed vehicles to pick up and deliver goods to various locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload cargo, which may involve heavy lifting, ensuring proper handling and securement of items
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle maintenance records
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during transit
- Assist with vehicle maintenance or minor repairs as needed to ensure optimal vehicle performance
Qualifications
- Valid DZ driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in driving commercial vehicles, preferably in a delivery or logistics setting
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required for loading or unloading cargo
- Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic regulations
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to schedules
- Physical ability to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of driving or standing
- Good communication skills and professionalism in interactions with clients and team members
