Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in concrete finishing, masonry, and related trades, with the ability to work efficiently on various projects including restoration, renovation, and new construction. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, concrete forming, and the use of hand and power tools. The Concrete Finisher will play a vital part in delivering high-quality concrete surfaces and ensuring project specifications are met with precision.
Responsibilities
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and finishing techniques to achieve smooth, level, and durable results
- Install rebar and formwork according to schematics and blueprints for various concrete structures
- Operate heavy equipment safely for site preparation and material handling
- Perform masonry tasks such as caulking, flooring installation, and restoration work as needed
- Assist with concrete pouring, curing, and sealing processes while maintaining safety standards
- Conduct maintenance and minor repairs on tools and equipment used during finishing tasks
- Collaborate with carpenters, welders, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution
- Follow safety protocols related to heavy lifting, and site safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in concrete finishing, masonry, or related construction trades
- Mechanical knowledge of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and schematics reading
- Skills in rebar installation, concrete forming, concrete finishing
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematic interpretation for accurate project execution
- Strong understanding of construction safety practices and protocols
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- While it is an advantage, experience is not necessary! we are willing to train the right individuals
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 9 months
Pay: $22.04-$40.07 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 60 per week
