The Grounds Guys of South Surrey is growing, and we are looking to hire 2 reliable, experienced team members to join our crew.
We provide professional landscaping and grounds maintenance services throughout South Surrey, White Rock, and surrounding areas. Our work includes lawn care, garden maintenance, trimming, cleanups, litter pickup, receptacle servicing, and general outdoor property maintenance.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has hands-on experience, and takes pride in doing quality work.
Position Overview
We are looking for hardworking crew members with landscaping or outdoor maintenance experience. This is not a senior or lead position, but we are looking for people who already have some experience and can work well as part of a team.
Most of the work will be landscaping and grounds maintenance, but duties may also include litter pickup, site cleanups, garbage/receptacle servicing, and other outdoor property maintenance tasks depending on the schedule.
Responsibilities
Duties may include:
- Lawn mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing
- Weeding, pruning, hedge trimming, and garden bed maintenance
- Spring, summer, and fall cleanups
- General landscaping and property maintenance
- Litter pickup and debris removal
- Servicing garbage/recycling receptacles
- Loading, unloading, and using landscaping tools and equipment
- Keeping job sites clean, safe, and professional
- Working outdoors in different weather conditions
- Following crew instructions and completing work efficiently
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is:
- Experienced in landscaping, grounds maintenance, labour, or similar outdoor work
- Reliable, punctual, and ready to work
- Comfortable with physical outdoor work
- Able to lift, bend, walk, and be on their feet throughout the day
- Able to work well with a team
- Detail-oriented and takes pride in their work
- Professional and respectful with coworkers, customers, and the public
- Comfortable doing a mix of landscaping, litter pickup, and general maintenance tasks
Requirements
- Previous landscaping or outdoor maintenance experience preferred
- Experience using mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, or similar equipment is an asset
- Valid driver’s licence is a requirement
- Must be dependable and able to work early starts when needed
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
Compensation
- $22.50-$25/hour (based on experience)
