Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and self-motivated Upholsterer / Trim Technician who can confidently handle a variety of upholstery projects from start to finish.
This role is ideal for someone who is fast, efficient, and capable of independently managing complete projects with minimal supervision.
We offer flexible working arrangements including full-time, part-time, or contract/project-based opportunities, depending on the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of assigned projects from start to finish
- Measure, pattern, cut, sew, fabricate, and install upholstery materials
- Work on automotive seats, interiors, door panels, consoles, and trim
- Reupholster and restore furniture including sofas, chairs, and custom pieces
- Fabricate and install marine upholstery, boat covers, tarps, and bimini tops
- Assist with aircraft interior upholstery work when required
- Perform foam shaping, seat rebuilding, and structural repairs
- Operate industrial sewing machines and upholstery equipment
- Maintain high-quality workmanship on all projects
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized workspace
- Complete projects efficiently while meeting deadlines
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on upholstery experience
- Strong skills in cutting, sewing, and pattern making
- Experience with automotive upholstery (required)
- Experience in marine, furniture, or aircraft interiors (strong asset)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Experience operating industrial sewing machines
- Reliable, honest, and self-motivated
