Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Supervisor is a hands-on, working floor supervisor. You will be responsible for directing maintenance tasks while working closely with the Plant Manager, ensuring reliability objectives are met, managing team performance, maintaining a collaborative working relationship between maintenance and employees, and providing training and personnel development to the maintenance employees.

On a practical level, you will:
- Supervise, coach, and train direct reports to effectively meet daily and weekly production schedules
- Work closely with all departments to achieve alignment on and coordination of maintenance activities
- Suggest methods to improve production operations and processes through maintenance initiatives
- Inspect and oversee facilities to resolve problems
- Troubleshoot and maintain plant equipment, machinery, and related facilities
- Develop and maintain a planning and scheduling routine for preventative maintenance of equipment
- Manage, motivate, develop, and provide direct leadership to all maintenance staff
- Hire and oversee outside professionals such as electricians, plumbers, etc.
- Inspect and maintain building systems such as heating, electrical, air conditioning, ventilation, etc.
- Inspect equipment to observe the quality of the maintenance performed and the operating condition of the equipment
- Budget and track maintenance expenditures with the assistance of the maintenance coordinator
- Inspect the materials and tools inventory and place orders when needed with the assistance of the maintenance coordinator
- Approve the maintenance strategy including monthly reporting and KPI validation
If you have the following qualifications, we want to hear from you:
- Licensed Millwright (Red Seal)
- 3+ years’ experience as a maintenance mechanic
- 2+ years experience as a leader for a small team of mechanics
- Experience within food manufacturing industry and/or high speed packaging equipment preferred
- Forklift/scissor-lift experience/certification is an asset
