We’re hiring Landscape Construction Lead Hand who can lead from the front, produce quality work, and develop into the next level of leadership. This role is a strong fit for someone who wants to run a crew day-to-day, build advanced skills, and grow into a Foreman seat over time.
Compensation & Schedule
- Hourly pay: CA$27 to CA$33/hour (based on experience)
- Full-time, year-round employment
- Typical hours: 45 to 55 hours/week, Monday to Friday (weekends if needed)
- Positions available: 2 to 3
- Work location: In person (western GTA)

Role Overview
As a Construction Lead Hand, you’ll work alongside a Foreman to lead daily production on luxury design-build sites. You’ll guide a crew of 2 to 5, execute from drawings, keep work clean and accurate, and help drive the pace and quality that Proscape is known for.
What You’ll Do
- Lead a crew in high-end residential design-build installation work
- Read and execute construction drawings and layout plans
- Perform and support complex site work including:
- Stonework, excavation, forming, masonry, grading
- Lighting systems, carpentry, planting and softscape installs
- Hardscape, concrete, woodwork, irrigation systems
- Operate equipment safely (track loaders, mini excavators, compaction equipment, power tools)
- Coach crew members on quality, pace, and safe work practices
- Maintain a clean, organized job site that reflects luxury-level standards
- Communicate professionally with clients, protect the Proscape experience on-site
- Bring forward improvement ideas, help implement better ways of working with management
What You Bring
Must Have
- 3 to 5+ years experience in high-end residential or commercial landscape design-build (as a Lead Hand)
- Ability to lead, motivate, instruct, and delegate a crew of 2 to 5
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Strong working knowledge of hardscaping, softscaping, lighting, concrete, woodwork, and irrigation systems
- Equipment experience (track loader, mini ex, compaction equipment, power tools)
- Able to meet the physical demands of an outdoor, all-season role
- Professional communication, strong work ethic, attention to detail
- Career-minded, long-term growth focus
- Valid G license, clean driver’s abstract, and access to a vehicle
Preferred (Assets)
- Basic First Aid training and/or construction industry certification
- A or D license
