Job Summary
The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the hotel's facilities, guest rooms, public areas, and equipment to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for guests and employees. This position performs routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance on building systems and responds promptly to maintenance requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff.
- Carry out preventive maintenance on hotel equipment and building systems.
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and HVAC repairs.
- Replace light bulbs, repair doors, locks, windows, furniture, and fixtures as needed.
- Inspect hotel facilities regularly and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain the hotel's heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and electrical systems within the scope of the position.
- Ensure fire safety equipment and emergency systems are in good working order and report any deficiencies.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies in an organized and safe manner.
- Assist with room renovations, furniture assembly, and property improvement projects.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and hotel policies.
- Keep accurate records of completed maintenance work and report major repairs requiring outside contractors.
- Support emergency maintenance needs, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, when required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in hotel, building, or facility maintenance is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general repairs.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Basic computer skills for completing maintenance logs and work orders are an asset.
- Valid driver's license is an asset.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
