Position Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Shipping & Receiving Clerk who will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, organizing, storing, and preparing materials and products for shipment. This position ensures that incoming and outgoing shipments are properly documented, packaged, labeled, and handled in accordance with company procedures and safety requirements.
Here’s What You’ll Deliver:
- Verify and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items to verify shipment details against bills of lading, invoices, purchase orders, sales orders, and other records.
- Prepare items for shipment by properly packaging, wrapping, labeling, and securing materials.
- Wrap skids and prepare shipments for loading and transportation.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment.
- Affix shipping labels to packed cartons or stencil required shipping information on containers.
- Place items into containers using appropriate spacers, fillers, and protective padding to prevent damage during transportation.
- Move materials to CNC machines, load machines to SAW machines and record the material received information in AX.
- Unpack and inspect incoming shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Reject or report damaged items and accurately document shortages or damaged materials.
- Communicate with suppliers, carriers, or shippers as required to resolve shipment discrepancies, damages, and shortages.
- Route received materials and items to the appropriate departments.
- Operate forklifts, cranes, and other material-handling equipment to move, store, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving areas to designated storage or work areas.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage, loss, or workplace hazards.
- Complete required shipping and receiving documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material-handling operations is an asset.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability to accurately count, measure, weigh, inspect, and record materials.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents, invoices, purchase orders, and bills of lading.
- Experience operating a forklift and/or crane preferred.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials as required.
- Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

**This compensation range will be based on knowledge and experience**
Compensation: $22.00 - CA$24.00 per hour
