In this decade of data, as data is becoming more persuasive and omnipresent, more and more enterprises are relying on data to drive their businesses and gain the differentiators that will give them competitive advantage. Data is a first-class citizen in the 4th Industrial Revolution. Given its strategic importance, it is becoming the most sacred asset and therefore its governance is becoming the need of an hour. Enterprise Data Governance drives alignment accountability, innovation, scalability, and trust across the company. We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Data Governance Cloud Solution Architect to accelerate customers’ digital transformation and data journey by influencing and supporting enterprise-wide Data Governance program, including enterprise data policies and standards and compliance.
This is a customer facing role, owning overall data governance thought leadership and customer journey on behalf of Microsoft in your region
The ideal candidate will have experience in customer-facing roles and success leading deep technical data governance discussions with senior customer executives as CxOs and IT Management to influence data governance practice.
Key responsibilities include:
Understand customers’ overall data estate, IT and business priorities and success measures
Develop deep relationships with key customer data stakeholders as CDO who drive long-term data centric and data driven culture adoption within their company to enable them to be cloud advocates
Consult with CDO to help design data governance program to to enable the right data, at the right time and with the right controls through best in class Data Management, while also ensuring data is high quality, discoverable and available
Maintain and advance deep technical skills and knowledge, keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights, and share within the technical community
Be a Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Engineering team to remove key blockers
Be an Azure Platform evangelist with customers, partners and external communities
Assess the Customers' knowledge of data governance, Azure platform and overall cloud readiness to support customers through a structured learning plan and ensure its delivery through partners
Experiences Required: Education, Key Experiences, Knowledge and Skills:
Required 5+ years of expert-level skills in leading Data maturity assessment , Data management practices discussion and Data Governance tools implementation(Any Major data governance vendor) .
Required proven technical knowledge of deployment of both Cloud and on-premise software solutions and architectures (Data Warehousing, Data Integration, Data Quality ,Data Lineage ,MDM etc.). Must have participated in minimum 3 deployments as an Lead Developer/Architect role on data governance engagements.
Required deep understanding of data compliance regulations , Minimum 2 (GDPR, CCPA, PCI DSS ,HIPAA ,FISMA, FERPA etc.) and remediation techniques(Anonymization, Tokenization etc.)
Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with senior IT executives and growing data services in large or highly strategic accounts
Ability to lead conversation with CDO/CIO/CSO personas.
Track record of successful managing customers with complex data management needs and formulation of Data governance adoption and acceleration strategies
Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP Cloud Ecosystem would be preferable.
Prior work experience in a Consulting/Architecture position within a software and/or services company such as Amazon, Google, SalesForce, VMware, Google, IBM, Avanade, T-Systems, Wipro, CSC, HP, Infosys, ServiceNow, Dell, TCS
Technical Degree: min of Bachelors in Computer Science or adjacent fields
Certifications :Data Governance and Stewardship Professional (DGSP) or DAMA Certified Data Management Professional Certification would be preferred
Travel required: 0-25%
