Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Kitchen Design Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in sales, design, and customer service to assist clients in creating their ideal kitchen spaces. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a keen eye for design, and experience in high-end sales and renovation projects. You will be responsible for guiding customers through the design process, demonstrating products, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience both inside and outside the store. Multilingual abilities and proficiency with design software like 20/20 or CAD are highly valued to better serve our diverse clientele.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their kitchen renovation needs and preferences through effective communication skills.
- Utilize design tools such as 20\20 or CAD to create accurate and appealing kitchen layouts.
- Conduct product demos and upsell high-end cabinetry, countertops, appliances, and accessories to maximize sales opportunities.
- Manage inside sales activities including POS transactions, cash handling, and account management.
- Develop personalized design solutions that align with client budgets and project requirements.
- Assist customers with merchandising decisions, product selections, and space planning to enhance their overall experience.
- Support marketing initiatives by promoting new products, services, and special offers to clients.
- Collaborate with the renovation and construction teams to ensure project specifications are met efficiently.
- Maintain organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while providing exceptional customer service.
- Build long-term relationships with clients through excellent service, negotiation, and follow-up.
Requirements
- Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales, or inside sales within the home improvement or renovation industry.
- Proficiency in 20/20, CAD software, or similar design tools is preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Knowledge of renovation and construction processes to better assist clients during their project planning stages.
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling, account management, and merchandising is desirable.
- Ability to demonstrate products effectively through product demos and upselling techniques.
- High-end sales experience coupled with customer service excellence is essential.
- Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple client projects efficiently.
- Basic math skills for measurements, budgeting, and pricing calculations. Pay: $18.50-$25.00 per hour
