Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Siding Installer/Labourer to join our team. This role involves installing exterior siding on mostly residential and occasional commercial buildings, requiring physical effort, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will have experience with hand tools, carpentry, and construction practices, and be willing to learn and grow within our company. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install various types of siding materials according to project specifications
- Use hand tools such as saws, drills, hammers, and levels to complete installations
- Assist with preparation of work sites, including setting up tools
- Perform heavy lifting of siding panels and related materials safely and efficiently
- Paper and rain screening
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure weatherproofing and finish quality
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience with siding installation or general construction is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Proficiency with hand tools, carpentry, blueprint reading, and caulking techniques is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on ladders or scaffolding at heights
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Handyman experience or related skills in construction are advantageous
- Reliable transportation to job sites is preferred
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role
