Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Optometric Assistant to join our eye care team. The ideal candidate will support daily clinic operations, assist with patient care, and ensure a smooth patient experience. Recalls and patient bookings will be the priority role. Prior experience in an optometric setting is preferred
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage front desk duties including check-in and check-out processes
- Recalling patients and assisting them with their appointments, ensuring accurate scheduling and documentation
- Support optometrists during eye exams by preparing equipment and assisting with testing procedures
- Provide patient education regarding optical products, lens options, and contact lens care
- Manage retail sales of eyewear, accessories, and contact lenses, promoting appropriate products based on patient needs
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment in compliance with health and safety standards
- Handle administrative tasks such as verifying insurance information and processing payments
