Why is this role important?
Soft Accessories, Knitwear Designer (6-Month Contract)
Position Overview:
The Soft Accessories Designer is responsible for working within the Accessories design team to assist with the creation of brand-right products for Joe Fresh while seasonably achieving business and profit objectives. The Soft Accessories Designer will work closely with and report to the Designer and Director of Accessories.
What you'll do:

Design development of both Knit Accessories and Soft Accessories

Work closely with the Design Team to execute to the seasonal direction

Responsible for managing design process including sketching, tech pack creation and maintenance, garment fitting, and all development-related follow-up

Liaise with suppliers to bring innovation, along with the best quality and style to the collection

Partner with the Product Development and Production department to ensure the timely completion of products according to the development calendar

Partner with Merchandising team to ensure commercial viability

Manage the sourcing and organization of yarn records, materials and trims
-
Handling daily edits and changes to artwork, graphics and sketches

Create and maintains product linesheets according to SKU plans, sales needs and emerging trends. Responsible for maintaining updates throughout the development season

Create graphics and Artwork AOP.
What you'll bring:

2-4 years experience in Knitwear Design
-
Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design preferred
-
Strong sketching ability and knowledge of yarn + raw materials

In-depth knowledge of innovative design techniques and processes
-
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-up
-
Flexible with the ability to self-manage and handle multiple priorities at once

Must be a collaborative team player

Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, PLM, Microsoft Excel, Outlook
