Position: Permanent, Full time
Position Summary:
The Production Technician is responsible for the general production of the Paramount Power assembly operation. The role includes but is not limited to construction of generator enclosures, assembly of gensets, product testing, general organization of warehouse and occasional job site construction.
Position Responsibilities:
Assembly:
· Assemble prepared parts including mounting engines, engine accessories, valves, hoses, clamps etc.
· Ensure engine assembly is up to production & safety standards.
· Ensure engine is built properly and there are no discrepancies.
· Build weatherproof enclosures.
· Assemble parts according to design drawings.
· Reconfigure parts when approved by Lead Hand.
· Conduct testing of generators, including connecting cables, hooking up breakers to load banks, connecting fuel sources to engine.
· Ensure completion of wiring of enclosures in accordance to CSA standards.
· Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment.
· Act as backup for Shipping and Receiving when main Shipper is on lunch break.
· Ensure shipping bay is kept clean and organized.
· Notify main shipper of any items received.

Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 3 years’ experience in mechanical or electrical considered an asset
- Understanding of tools and equipment
- Forklift experience
- Knowledge of health and safety
- Effective communication skills
- Team player
- Interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 75lbs
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and professional accountability.
