Responsibilities

Provide exceptional guest service in a professional, friendly, and engaging manner.

Greet guests promptly and create a welcoming dining experience.

Build positive relationships with guests and anticipate their needs.

Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food, beverage, and daily feature menus.

Take food and beverage orders accurately and provide menu recommendations.

Answer guest questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and beverage selections.

Enter orders accurately and communicate effectively with kitchen and bar teams.

Serve food and beverages in accordance with established service standards.

Perform quality checks to ensure guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.

Clear and reset tables while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area.

Process guest bills accurately and handle cash, debit, credit, and other payment transactions.

Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.

Maintain a sense of urgency while delivering efficient and attentive service.

Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

Adhere to all food safety, liquor service, health, and safety regulations.

Maintain a professional appearance and uphold company standards at all times.
Qualifications
-
Minimum of 2 years of serving experience in a fast-paced upscale or fine-dining restaurant.

Valid Serving It Right (or provincial equivalent) certification.

Must be at least 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.

Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong sales and upselling abilities.

Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.

Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
-
Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.

Strong product knowledge or the ability to quickly learn menu offerings.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Basic mathematical skills for processing payments and handling cash.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive movements throughout a shift.

Ability to lift and carry food and beverage trays weighing up to 65 pounds.

Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
