Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring activities, preventing theft or unauthorized access, and maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and enforcement of safety protocols. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards.
- Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, to oversee all areas of the facility.
- Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or other security breaches.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, and coordinate with law enforcement if necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for record-keeping purposes.
- Control access points by verifying credentials and issuing visitor passes as needed.
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by identifying potential risks and implementing preventative measures.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff courteously while maintaining security protocols.
Requirements
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of surveillance techniques and CCTV operation is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of loss prevention strategies and safety procedures.
- Ability to remain alert and attentive during long shifts, often requiring vigilance over extended periods.
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and effectively.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
- Must be physically capable of patrolling large areas and standing for extended periods.
- Valid security license or certification may be required depending on jurisdiction.
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
