On Side Restoration is looking to welcome a Restoration Estimating Consultant to our Estimating Excellence group for a 1-year term.
Responsibilities:
- Develop national estimating best practices to support our project manager teams in creating detailed and comprehensive repair scopes and estimates for damage restoration projects.
- Analyze and identify opportunities to use our scoping and estimating tools to fully leverage technology to support the scoping and estimating functions with the operation.
- Analyze and identify opportunities to enhance our teams’ skills and develop and deliver training to our project management teams.
- Act as a resource to Project Managers and Territory Managers, to assist in the review and approval of project estimates.
- Provide guidance and oversight on individual estimates ensuring best practices are utilized and all relevant items are identified and costed appropriately.
- Assist with the deployment of training and development of Territory and Project managers.
- Create action plans, conduct data analysis, and facilitate access to any needed tools
- Form and strengthen relationships with stakeholders
Qualification and Requirements:
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in residential and light commercial Construction/Restoration Estimating.
- 5 years’ experience managing restoration projects.
- 5 years’ experience with estimating and costing platforms (i.e., Verisk/Xactimate, or Corelogic/Symbility).
- Level II or III Xactimate
- Ability to review damages using virtual media.
- Acumen in all aspects of construction project profitability.
- A strong communicator who understands and clearly delivers (in)formal
presentations on complex matters in person and virtually.
- A proven track record in developing and executing construction / restoration
projects (i.e., sales, customer service management, trade scheduling and
management, job costing and pricing, etc.).
- Works with a sense of urgency and the ability to transfer information into
action quickly.
- Demonstrates genuine interest and empathy, able to remain patient in high pressure situations with customers and stakeholders.
- Exhibits social responsibility through commitment to corporate values in every
day work.
- Comfortable working on their own and also works well with others in a team
environment.
- Ability to travel required.
- Preferred holder of IICRC designation with particular focus on s700 and s520.
- Bilingual in English and French strongly preferred.
