ROLE DESCRIPTION
What impact will you have in this role?
We are significantly growing our Global Managed Services practice in Canada and have an opening for a Capability Lead, focusing on Azure Cloud opportunities, to help grow the managed service business for the Canadian region. The role is focused on driving significant growth in Azure Managed Services by partnering with the business development team to create compelling value propositions in both existing and new clients. This role is part of a Managed Services Practice team that acts as a nexus between Cognizant's clients, Microsoft, and Cognizant's business development and the Global Managed Services Team.
As a Managed Service Capability Lead, you will shape the managed services engagements that drive recurring revenue with the sales and pre-sales teams to maximize our growth. Members of the Managed Service practice team must be capable of credibly articulating the Cognizant managed services value proposition including implementing cloud operating models that leverage cloud native tools, automation and other modern management tools and processes.
The Managed Service Capability Lead will create compelling solution-based proposals, demonstrations, and implementation strategies that address a given customer need and business requirements. The Capability Lead will also own any Statement of Work, at times working with the Solution Advisory Services (SAS) team for technical content and validation of commercial estimates and resource profiles.
As a Capability Lead, you will work with the Azure Cloud Centre of Excellence (COE) team to drive the strategic roadmap for Managed Services for Azure. These engagements will require working with business stakeholders and will translate business drivers to technology deliverables.
What will you be doing day-to-day?
Work with the Managed Service Practice Lead, drive Azure Managed Services sales results for Canada by providing regional sales team training and mentorship and deal pursuit ownership where locally applicable
Delivery Alignment – ensure that regional-based Azure managed services deals conform to global service offer standards and coordinating with Global Managed Services to negotiation regional service offer adjustments, when required
Be extremely knowledgeable about all Cognizant managed services including offerings, service descriptions, acceptable levels of customization and pricing
Participate in the proposal process by solutioning Managed Services opportunities, including requirements-gathering, mapping to current and custom solutions and estimates
Assist in the identification of potential sales opportunities; discovering the customer's business requirements and challenges; and using this information to build a value proposition that maps to Cognizant Managed Service offerings
Author statement of work including delivery approach, commercial pricing and terms, and other relevant assumptions
Provide thought-leadership in Azure Managed Services throughout the region by delivering workshops, webinars, and leading discussions with customers and Microsoft
Work closely with the Managed Service Practice Lead and regional Business Development team to uncover opportunities with clients and provide awareness on Cognizant programs, capabilities, and approach
Engage and build strong relationships with the Microsoft Specialist Team Unit through joint solutioning, account planning, and support of Microsoft events and priorities
Assist in opportunities with other Capability areas, including Managed Services in Endpoint services, O365 and Dynamics Cloud
Mastery of Cognizant's value proposition across Managed Service Azure solutions, with knowledge in all Managed Service solutions
Lead onboarding of managed services client in coordination with the Global Managed Services Team
Serve as a point of escalation for any delivery issues that may surface
Work with Regional leadership to establish and attain regional revenue goals for Managed Services
What type of experience do you need to be successful in this role?
Demonstrated successful prior experience in prospecting, opportunity shaping, delivering and selling managed services solutions
Entrepreneurial approach to business, team and client interactions
Experience shaping cloud-based managed services
Proven experience building and delivering managed services sales and solutions in market
Experience soliciting customer business and technical requirements
Experience architecting solutions and estimating the level of efforts
Does the role require travel?
Yes, 20-30% travel in support of the team and/or client projects once the MBG has confirmed its employees may return to the office/business travel resumes in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
