Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
- Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately using systems such as Epic and Dentrix
- Collect insurance information and process billing as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing office supplies
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow and appointment scheduling
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support the clinical team by preparing necessary documentation and forms for patient visits
Experience
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office setting is highly preferred
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Dentrix is essential
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
- Experience working with multi-line phone systems and handling administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Previous office experience demonstrating organizational skills and attention to detail is required
- Familiarity with front desk operations, appointment scheduling, and billing processes is advantageous
