Plumbing Project Manager & Estimator
Location: Exeter
Employment Type - Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 44 hours per week
Salary: $75,000-$100,000

The Opportunity
Jayden’s Mechanical is seeking a hybrid Plumbing Estimator / Project Manager to lead projects from initial bid to
final close-out. You will own the full project lifecycle—sourcing and estimating competitive plumbing bids, managing
project execution, coordinating field crews, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Pre-Construction
- Bid Management: Source, review, and target profitable plumbing projects across commercial, industrial, and
residential sectors.
- Takeoffs & Estimating: Analyze drawings, specifications, and addenda to prepare precise material, labor,
and time cost estimates.
- Site Walk-Throughs: Attend site meetings to define project scope and installation requirements.
- Vendor & Subcontractor Procurement: Solicit and review quotes to ensure scope alignment and
cost-effective pricing.
- Proposal Delivery: Assemble detailed, organized bid submissions for internal review and client
presentations.
Project Management & Execution
- Project Ownership: Take full accountability for awarded projects from handoff through to final close-out
and deficiency tracking.
- Scheduling & Workforce Planning: Develop project schedules, work plans, and manpower loading in
coordination with field supervisors.
- Financial Management: Monitor project costs, track changes, handle progress billings, and process change
orders.
- Field Support: Provide continuous technical support to field crews regarding drawings, plumbing codes, and
scope clarifications.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify site issues or scope gaps and implement practical, solutions-focused
fixes.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all installations meet the Ontario Building Code (OBC), plumbing codes, and
safety standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of plumbing estimating experience in commercial or residential construction with
combined project management experience is highly valued.
- Trade Background: A 306A Licensed Plumber designation or a strong hands-on background in the plumbing
trade is a major asset.
- Technical Skills: Exceptional ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and architectural
specifications.
