About the Role
We are looking for a client-facing Business Central ERP Specialist to join our professional services practice. In this role, you will lead and support BC implementations from discovery through to go-live, acting as the primary functional consultant for clients across industries including finance, legal, consulting, and managed services.
You will be the face of our BC practice on engagements — running workshops, translating client requirements into system designs, configuring solutions, and guiding clients through change. This is a delivery-focused role for someone who thrives on client interaction and wants to own outcomes end-to-end.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Engagement & Discovery
- Lead requirements-gathering workshops and process mapping sessions with client stakeholders across Finance, Operations, and Leadership.
- Conduct current-state assessments and produce fit-gap analyses between client processes and standard BC functionality.
- Build trusted relationships with client project sponsors, finance managers, and end users throughout the engagement lifecycle.
- Prepare and present solution design documents, demo environments, and recommendations for client sign-off.
Implementation & Configuration
- Configure BC to meet agreed client requirements — chart of accounts, dimensions, workflows, approval flows, posting groups, and module setup.
- Implement Finance, Purchase, Sales, Projects/Jobs, and Service modules based on client scope.
- Manage data migration activities: mapping, cleansing, import templates, and validation with client teams.
- Set up and test integrations with third-party tools (payroll, CRM, document management, Power BI).
- Coordinate with developers on AL extensions or custom reports where standard functionality does not meet requirements.
Testing, Training & Go-Live
- Design and execute functional test scripts (SIT, UAT); track and resolve defects in collaboration with the client.
- Develop role-based training materials and deliver hands-on training sessions for end users and super-users.
- Support hypercare and post-go-live stabilisation, ensuring a smooth transition to business-as-usual.
Project Delivery
- Manage your workstream within the project plan — track tasks, flag risks early, and communicate progress to the Delivery Manager.
- Contribute to project documentation: design specs, configuration workbooks, training guides, and handover packs.
- Participate in internal practice development — share learnings, contribute to templates, and mentor junior consultants.

- Experience with BC Projects/Jobs module for project-based billing (time and materials, fixed fee, milestones).
