VAC Developments Ltd is a Canadian Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing Company. We are looking for experienced CNC Milling Machinist to join our Milling department.
Responsibilities:
- Studies blueprints, work order, set-up sheet, tool lists, operation sheets, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
- Setting up and operating all types of CNC machinery required (specifically mill-turn machines with Mazak, Fanuk Controls).
- Verify tooling requirements are met in advance of commencement of each job; Bring up any issues/concerns to supervisor
- Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, and grinders as per set up sheets and/or work instructions.
- Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, and input.
Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience setting up and operating all types of CNC machinery required (specifically mill-turn machines with multiple spindles and turrets).
- Ability to read and interpret, drawings, charts, tables to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product
- Ability to select and use appropriate cutting tools and precision measuring instruments to ensure components are machined to specific tolerances and surface finishes as indicated on the drawings
