Downey Ford Saint John, NB is seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Parts Advisor to join our team. The Parts Advisor plays a key role in supporting both our Service Department and retail customers by providing expert parts assistance, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a positive customer experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced automotive environment and has a passion for customer service.
What You’ll Do
- · Assist service technicians in identifying, sourcing, and ordering parts required for repairs and maintenance.
- · Serve retail and wholesale customers in person, by phone, and by email.
- · Maintain accurate parts inventory records and support inventory control processes.
- · Receive, stock, and organize incoming parts shipments.
- · Process parts returns, warranty claims, and vendor credits as required.
- · Prepare and complete parts invoices and related documentation.
- · Ensure parts displays, storage areas, and workspaces remain clean and organized.
- · Collaborate with the Service Department to help maximize technician productivity and customer satisfaction.
- · Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- · Valid New Brunswick driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- · Must be able to work rotational Saturdays.
- · Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with receiving and stocking inventory.
- · Previous automotive parts experience is preferred; dealership experience is considered an asset.
- · Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- · Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- · Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- · Comfortable using computers and dealership management systems.
- · Working knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle systems is an asset.
