We are looking for a reliable, highly organized, and physically fit Delivery Driver to join our growing team. Whether you are looking for steady full-time hours or a flexible part-time schedule, we are willing to tailor the role for the right driver.
The Role & Responsibilities
As a Delivery Driver for Northern Canning, you are a crucial link in our supply chain and the face of the company to many of our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Safe Transportation: Driving company vehicles (including straight trucks or pickup trucks hauling trailers) to transport empty cans, packaging supplies, or mobile equipment safely between our warehouses and customer facilities.
- Loading & Unloading: Safely loading materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting, ensuring all cargo is properly secured for transit.
- Client Relations: Representing Northern Canning professionally at drop-offs and pick-ups, communicating clearly with brewery staff and production managers.
- Inventory & Paperwork: Confirming order accuracy against packing slips, collecting signatures, and maintaining clean logs of your daily routes and deliveries.
- Warehouse Assistance: Supporting the warehouse team with organizing materials, tracking inventory, and preparing upcoming loads during downtime between runs.
What We Are Looking For
- Valid G Driver's License: A clean driving record (abstract required) with experience towing or driving larger commercial delivery vehicles preferred. Insurance requires driver to be at least 25 years of age to drive straight truck. (G license)
- Physical Capability: This is a active role. You must be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and moving heavy pallets with warehouse equipment.
- Reliability & Punctuality: Our clients operate on tight production schedules. We need someone who shows up on time and can adapt to changing traffic or weather conditions.
- Strong Communication: A friendly, professional attitude when interacting with our client partners.
- Forklift Experience: Prior experience or certification is a strong asset, though we are willing to train the right candidate.
Schedule & Flexibility
We understand that the right candidate might need flexibility. Please specify your preference in your application:
- Full-Time Path: 35–40 hours per week, consistent weekly scheduling.
- Part-Time Path: Flexible shifts or specific designated days per week to supplement your current schedule.
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
