General Purpose: The Miner is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to underground mining operations, including equipment operation, infrastructure installation, and ensuring a safe working environment. This role requires technical expertise, adherence to safety protocols, and effective teamwork to support mining operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
EQUIPMENT OPERATION
- Operate scoop trams, continuous miners, cutting equipment, bolting machines, and auxiliary equipment such as telehandlers and skid steers.
- Drum miner/continuous miner experience is an asset.
- Operate drilling and bolting equipment and install ground support to ensure structural integrity.
INFRASTRUCTURE & CONSTRUCTION
- Install conveyance systems and other underground infrastructure.
- Construct underground storage bins and other structural projects.
- Perform shotcreting, backfilling, and install concrete foundations.
- Conduct shaft construction and remediation.
TEAM SUPPORT & SAFETY
- Assist with crew line-up, report progress, and collaborate with Site Leadership to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to health & safety protocols and regulations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support mining operations.
Qualifications:
- Five to seven years’ progressive experience working in an underground mining environment.
- Current certification in Saskatchewan General Mine Safety Awareness.
- Current certification in Fall Protection and Aerial Work Platforms.
- Current or periodic training and certification for operation of specific equipment.
- Commitment to working safely.
- Positive attitude and excellent work ethic.
- Good communication skills in a team environment.
- Underground Supervisor Tickets in Saskatchewan, current First Aid/CPR certification, experience or current certification for Blasting, and/or trade qualifications or experience (Ironworking, Welding, Heavy Duty Mechanics, or Industrial Mechanics) are considered a definite asset.
