We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Specialist – SMT Material Handling to join our Manufacturing Inventory Operations team in Iroquois. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring inventory accuracy, supporting production efficiency, and driving continuous improvement within our Material Handling Surface Mount Technology (SMT) team.

What You'll Do
As the Specialist – SMT Material Handling, you will:

Prioritize inventory activities across multiple workflows to maximize production throughput and minimize downtime.

Lead inventory picking, staging, and replenishment activities to support SMT production schedules.

Maintain accurate inventory records using manufacturing systems such as MES, Inovaxe, Bartender, T-Studio, and Infor LN.

Investigate inventory discrepancies through root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives that streamline inventory processes and reduce waste.

Coach and mentor team members on standard operating procedures and best practices while supporting the development of work instructions.

Collaborate with Production, Planning, Quality, and other departments to ensure materials are available when needed.

Communicate inventory status, shortages, and workflow updates clearly and effectively.

Ensure compliance with FIFO, traceability, ESD, MSDS, safety, and quality requirements.

Support internal and external audits and help implement corrective actions.

Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and leadership by proactively resolving issues and supporting operational excellence.
Who you are:
We're looking for someone with:

High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education is an asset).

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in inventory management or SMT material handling within a manufacturing environment.

Experience working with inventory management and manufacturing execution systems.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Proven ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
