About the role
We’re seeking a reliable, hardworking, and experienced General Labourer who isn’t afraid of hard work or jumping in wherever needed. The successful candidate must be comfortable working around trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment, travelling to multiple jobsites, working outdoors in changing weather conditions, and taking on different tasks depending on the needs of the day.
We’re also looking for someone who wants more than just a job—we want someone who is interested in growing with the company, learning new skills, gaining experience in different areas, and taking on more responsibility over time. If you’re hardworking, eager to learn, and looking for an opportunity where you can continue developing your skills, we encourage you to apply.
At Cobra Heavy Iron, we maintain a clean, professional image and take pride in delivering top-tier work to our customers—so we need someone who represents the company professionally through their appearance, communication, work ethic, and workmanship on every job.

- Keep company tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas clean and organized
- Work overtime/after-hours as required and participate in on-call emergency response, which may include incidents such as train derailments

- Physically fit: able to lift 50+ lb, stand/walk for extended periods, and work on uneven ground
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (clean abstract preferred) and reliable transportation to/from the yard or jobsite
- Equipment experience is a strong asset (e.g., skid steer, loaders, compact equipment)—preferred but not required
- Tickets/certifications (e.g., Confined Space, TDG, First Aid, CSTS) are great but not required; you must be open to obtaining role-required tickets as needed
