About the Role – How you will Contribute to the Service:
The Halton Regional Police is a progressive Service that is expanding it’s Enterprise Project Management Office within the Strategic Management Unit. We are seeking a Full Time - Information System Support Analyst to help drive our HRPS initiatives, addressing large scale Projects and initiatives that will yield outcomes for our police service and our community.
As a valued member of our team, you will leverage your expertise in the development, maintenance, testing and administrative support of various information management systems across HRPS. You will be instrumental in coordinating the implementation of technical and process changes.

Here’s what you will get to do…….
- Create and maintain system information including data entry and end user account management and security.
- Create and maintain related system documentation.
- Provide consultative system support to end users.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and assist with inquiries and resolutions.
- Compile requests, recommend changes and interface with system vendors to modify system functionality.
- Audit information and generate reports to validate and identify content for analysis.
- Identify business and process requirements and opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze needs, recommend options, and develop approaches.
- Participate and contribute to project planning.
- Design, install, test, and implement system workflows and permissions.
- Coordinate implementation of technical and process changes.
- Generate reports, validate information, and analyze content.
- Contribute to the development of user training to the Unit and other HRPS staff.
- Maintain system and audit documentation.
- Communicate system changes to impacted areas of the organization.
- Other related duties as assigned.
What you’ll Bring to the Role:
Education, Certifications and Qualifications:
- Community college diploma in a related area (e.g., information management or technology, computer science) or related experience.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum of three years’ experience in utilizing and supporting technical information systems
- Proven experience in HTML and JavaScript
- Demonstrated knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as well as standard business analysis and business process management techniques.
- Must have experience gathering and documenting business requirements, translating requirements in to functioning solutions and developing business process maps in Microsoft Visio.
- Experience in developing and providing employee training for technical information systems and demonstrated ability to relate to end-users.

Core Working Hours: 35 hours per week: Monday - Friday
Salary Range: $85,629-$94,098 per annum
