Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Patient Experience & Front Office Manager to lead our front office operations and enhance patient satisfaction. This pivotal role involves managing daily administrative functions, supervising front desk staff, and ensuring a seamless patient experience within a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in dental or medical office settings, and familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as MedAccess and Ocean. A background in human resources, budgeting, and hospital or nursing experience is highly desirable to effectively oversee operational workflows and team management.
Duties
- Oversee daily front office operations, including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, and billing processes.
- Supervise front desk staff, providing training, performance evaluations, and ongoing support to ensure excellent patient service.
- Manage patient records using electronic medical records systems like MedAccess and Ocean, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate with clinical teams to facilitate smooth patient flow and communication between departments.
- Handle patient inquiries, resolve complaints, and promote a positive patient experience at all touchpoints.
- Assist with human resources functions such as staffing schedules, onboarding new employees, and maintaining employee records.
- Monitor departmental budgets and assist with financial planning to optimize operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital policies related to patient privacy and safety.
- Support the implementation of quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care delivery.
Skills
- Proficiency in MedAccess and Ocean.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare workflows.
- Previous experience managing a dental or medical office environment; supervisory experience is essential.
- Knowledge of human resources practices including staff training, performance management, and hiring procedures.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management within a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with hospital or nursing environments, especially in acute care settings is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
