Eldale Machine & Tool Ltd., another division of our company, was founded in 1976 to manufacture hubs and spindles for agricultural original equipment manufacturers (OEM). The product line includes hubs and spindles from 1,000 lbs to 40,000 lbs capacity as well as custom machined parts. The product line offers high-capacity assemblies, brake systems, rotors, axles, tandem tubes, and precision-machined components fit for many applications, ranging from small utility trailers to heavyweight agricultural equipment.
Your Opportunity!
We are recruiting for a dynamic Full-Time Permanent Business Development Lead (hybrid) with an expertise in agricultural equipment and/or machining that is passionate about expanding our market presence beyond traditional sectors to join our manufacturing facility in Elmira (relocating to Listowel in mid-2027). In this role, you will play a pivotal role in selling our high-quality products and services to a diverse set of industries. This position includes base pay of $50,000 - $55,000 annually + commission.
Key Responsibilities and Skills:
- Develop and implement sales plans to achieve sales targets across agricultural and non-agricultural sectors
- Perform market research to help identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Cultivate relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders to make tailored product recommendations based on their unique needs
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling and engaging marketing materials/campaigns that target various industries
- Conduct product presentations and engage in technical discussions with a high level of familiarity to showcase the benefits and applications of our products and services
- Attend industry networking events (i.e., tradeshows, conferences, etc.) on an as needed basis
- Provide comprehensive customer support on an as needed basis
- Other duties, as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in agricultural sales or a related field, with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience in expanding market share into new industries preferred
- Deep understanding of agricultural practices, products, and industry trends
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel to meet with customers and attend industry networking events
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in sales reporting and CRM software
