Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for patient care, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of dental hygiene practices. As a key member of our practice, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive preventive dental services, educating patients on oral health, and supporting overall practice operations. This role offers an engaging environment where patient comfort and quality care are prioritized.
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Assist in the application of sealants, fluoride treatments, and other preventive procedures.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records using dental practice management software such as Dentrix.
- Support the dental team during procedures by preparing instruments and assisting as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient questions, concerns, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Collaborate with orthodontists and pediatric specialists to deliver specialized care when required.
- Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices, including new technologies and treatments.
Experience
- Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
- Prior experience in a busy dental office setting is preferred, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics highly valued.
- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental management software is advantageous.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry enhances accuracy in documentation.
- Experience in dental assisting or related roles can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming environment for all patients.

Monday 8:00am-2:00pm
Tuesday 10:00am-8:00pm
Alternating Saturday 8:00am-3:00pm
