Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate Events Staff to join our team. This role involves styling venues for weddings and corporate events, ensuring a very high standard is met for decor set-up and event assistance. This casual position offers an opportunity to work in ever-changing environments, supporting event operations and contributing to the success of each event. Position to begin in August/September.

Duties
- Set up decor at event spaces, including arranging tables, placing decorations, installing backdrops and arches, and other event decor. Involves lifting up to 30lbs, climbing ladders, and working in both indoor and outdoor locations.
- Tear down of decor items at the conclusion of an event. Involves late night or early morning shifts
- Assist the Event Lead on the day-of a wedding or event with a variety of tasks
- Work with a team of set-up staff to transform an event space, manage a room flip together, tear down afterwards, and load delivery vehicles
- Monitor guest needs throughout the event, responding promptly to requests or concerns
- Uphold hospitality standards by providing friendly, professional service at all times to clients and event guests
- Adhere to ladder safety and lifting standards
Experience
- Previous experience in events, hospitality environments, or customer service is an asset
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations is an asset, but not required
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
