Avwind is an aviation component repair and rewind company serving the aerospace industry.
We are seeking hands-on, mechanically inclined production workers to join our team. This role is ideal for candidates who have experience working with hand tools, measuring tools, mechanical or electrical assemblies, and production processes in a manufacturing or repair environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Perform production work on electrical and mechanical components in accordance with company procedures and work instructions
· Use hand tools and shop tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, drills, grinders, and other basic production equipment
· Use measuring tools such as calipers and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances
· Complete assigned work accurately and within expected production timelines
· Follow written instructions and process sheets requirements
· Record production steps and complete required documentation accurately
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
· Work closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering to resolve issues and support workflow
· Participate in cross-training across departments as required
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Good command of spoken and written English
· Basic math skills
· Experience working with hand tools in a manufacturing, maintenance, mechanical, electrical, automotive, or similar environment
· Experience using basic measuring tools such as calipers, rulers, and gauges
· Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
· Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn specialized shop processes
· Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team environment
· Strong attention to detail and quality
ASSETS
· Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, repair, assembly, or industrial production
· Experience with winding, coil work, armatures, stators, rotors, or electro-mechanical assemblies
· Brazing and/or soldering experience
· Experience with electrical test equipment such as ohm meters, Megger, surge testers, or High Pot testers
· Ability to read technical instructions
WORKING CONDITIONS
· Able to use hands for manual work
· Able to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and safety shoes
· Position does not require heavy lifting or standing for long periods
